Fee-vah

Matteo is on day eight of a fever. Low grade, but a fever none-the-less. It ranges anywhere from 99.4 to 100.9. The highest came tonight and he fussed himself to sleep. The doc says not to worry, but how can you not? I know it's just his little immune system fighting a bug - but, by day eight, all kinds of crazy things have gone through my head. Hoping it will end soon.

8 days does seem long... :( poor little guy. and poor moms! so, the doctor wasn't concerned about a minor infection, like urinary tract or something? (which would be easily treated-- I don't mean to make the anxiety worse!) xo

Wow, that's a long fever! Poor little guy! Could he be teething? I know that usually causes a low grade with some kids that can last...

Went back to the doc today. You're right - she thinks he's teething!! It definitely started off as a cold (cousin Max went home with the same thing) but she thinks the low-grade fever and excessive drooling means that his gums are starting to get a work out. Considering - though - the fact that he still has some goop in his eye, I am still calling it a cold virus.

Oh, poor little one. I hope he's better soon.

June's under the weather, too. Woke up feverish this morning so we curled up on the couch to watch DVDs. Around 10:20 she ASKED to go back to bed. She's been asleep for an hour and fifteen minutes.
